It can take up to a year for your period to return to normal. After my daughter was born, I bleed for a little over 6 weeks. Then at 8 weeks I had a period, then I didn't have another till she was 6 months old. Lucky I got a period chart program on my mobile as I wouldn't have even guessed my cycle. It went from a normal 28 day cycle to 37 day cycle. My daughter is now just a little over a year and my cycle is down to 33 days. It will go back to normal, you just have to be patient and be prepared because it will come on suddenly like it did the first time you go your period.

If you are still worried, when your baby has their next checkup, mention it to the doctor.

I think you are stressing about it too much. My yougest son is 2 now, I blead until he was about three months old and I was breast feeding. When I stopped breast feed at four months old my normal periods came back. I understand your not breast feeding but is your milk dried up completley? Your hormones are in over drive if doc says your ok and did pregnancy test on you to be sure and says you are ok then you should be fine. Don't count the days til it comes quit so conciously. It'll happen and as long as its been.... it could be a doosie. After three children and birth control by clock work my period is still all whacky,so I know how you feel. Mine comes every two weeks sometimes and I bleed for two weeks at a time. Then others it will be three days or a week who knows it does its own thing. You can thank Eve and Mother nature for that. Good Luck and I'm sure if you let it go you will start. Of course for some women with protection of course safety first a lil' rough sex can help LOL!

With my second child I didn't get my period until he was about 4 months old, after MNAY pregnancies tests and a trip to the dr.

Don't sweat it sweetie our bodies do some weird things after the babies start coming. If your doctor did tests and says you are ok, I wouldn't worry. I know women who were lucky enough not to have a period for a whole year! I am not that fortunate. My body didn't skip a beat. Went from postpartum bleed to next months period with both of my children and I was breastfeeding, so that really doesn't always have much to do with it.

My son is 7 months and I haven't had a period yet. I'm breast feeding but recently started solids. My doc told me that once he eats more solids and less milk I should start menstruating again.

With my first baby, I didn't get a period until after he stopped nursing completely....around 7 months. With my second and third babies, I got my period back about a month after my postpartum bleeding stopped (both of them were breastfed too). If you are nursing it is completely normal to have wacky periods!

Wow two periods on six months. It probably is partly due to stress with the new baby. Your hormones are still trying to get back to "pre baby." I bled for two months straight after my son was born. Once that stopped I think it was a month before I started getting my periods regularly again. If your doctor says your fine try not to worry about it, if its bothering you that much I would go get a second opinion. Good luck!!
