So, not being a doctor I would have to say make sure your talk to your doc or midwife first. With that said, I used the primrose oil pills for about two weeks. The thing is that the first week to week and a half, I was taking them by mouth. (that is not what helps get things moving) You have to insert them! It actually softens up the cervix and helps to start thinning things out, once that happened contraction seemed to get a little more regular and I started dilating. Once I started using them the correct way (for inducing labor) it only took about 3-5 days before I had my son (I was not in labor the whole time, only 12 hours)
I was never brave enough to try the oil thing because I has heard bad stories about having bad stomach problems during labor.
Hope this helps some, and good luck!
