How make 6 year old to eat?

You can't exactly force anyone to eat, but when it comes to meals you can leave it out on the table and tell your child that if you don't eat then there won't be any snacks. Or if you do wish to give snacks, maybe sure they are healthy only, such as fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers, etc. In the end, if your child is hungry they will eat.

In the meantime, do you know why your child won't eat? Is the doctor concerned at all? Is your child losing weight?

I agree with Bonnie. At this age, from my experience, it is very normal. He is going through a natural stage. They do this sometimes. It's part of striving for independence. Wanting some sense of control. And before you know it he then goes through yet another stage and eats everything in sight. It is most commonly recognized during their growing phases. Right now my middle child is 5. He seems to constantly want food. So what I decided to do was exactly what Bonnie was talking about. I set out basically a buffet on the table. All finger type foods that are all healthy. He is allowed to eat them whenever he is "HUNGRY" in between meals. The only kicker is he is only allowed to eat at the table sitting down. This is really working for me. And honestly if he is not hungry by the time dinner is served I am less likely to feel guilty because I know he's been eating all day long. I hope this was helpful to you and your family.
