Hello my name is Heather and I guess everything I wanted to ask is basically in the subject title. I was just wondering if any of you have thought the same way or just stay at home because, like me, the prospect of a job is kind of scary?

Hi Heather, Im Sue and in Australia. We have 'temp agencies' here where they give you jobs when people are on holidays or sick leave or someone leaves or they need extra help.

It is hard to reply not knowing what you want to do. My daughter (30) is a single mum and what we did was print off flyers for gardening jobs (weeding etc), she got a couple of jobs out of that with some senior ladies, she really enjoyed it, didnt pay much but some spending money of her own. The other suggestion would be cleaning houses, again letterbox drop is most efficient (provide some character references). Another example is my son was out of work, and got jobs mowing lawns and general gardening through letterbox dropping. There are also sites on the internet to advertise yourself. Hope this helps and all the best. Kind regards, Sue
