My daughter is going to be 6 months on the 18th and she can put it down! Is it normal for a baby to eat 1/2 a jar of a fruit & a veggie and rice cereal and then still want a 4oz bottle after?(thats twice a day by the way, once at 10 & then again around 3) I feel like she's eating too much but she never seems uncomfortable either.

she will let you know when she is full. good thing about babies is they won't over eat they tend to close their mouths and not open again when they are done. It sounds like she is doing just fine. My daughter never seems to sit and have a large meal at one time but she eats lots throughout the day sometimes it seems she is eating all day. She is 14 months old and that is what works for her.

At 6 months my daughter would eat 2 jars of baby food, a pretty big portion of rice cereal and then a 6 ounce bottle, and that was 3 times a day. Everyone always says that a baby will let you know when they are full, and if she keeps eating and not giving the signs that she's full I would keep feeding her. My daughter is now 8 months old, and she does weight 21 pounds, but if I don't feed her until she's full she will scream and cry until she gets the rest of her food. If she isn't uncomfortable or showing signs that she's full, I would keep feeding her. She may gain a lot of weight, but as she gets older and begins to become mobile, she will lose a lot of weight. So I wouldn't worry about it too much
