My pediatrician said that on average a baby will drink 1 to 2 ounces more than their age in months. So your daughter is 4 months old and should probably be drinking 5 to 6 ounces at a time. This always held true for my son, but the pediatrician reminded me that this was only a guideline and every baby is different.

Everyone is right, depends on the baby. Also depends on babies size, usually bigger babies eat more. From my exp mine ate around 4 to 5oz. My youngest is the smallest of all my kids, and she is almost 9 months and she is drinking between 6 to 8oz. But my other kids at the same age where drinking at least 8oz. If your ped says she is healthy then i would not worry about how much. As long as she acts full, then she is fine.

I never put my son on a feeding scedual (sp) so he ate (drink) as much as he needed. At 4 months mine was drinking about 6 to 8 oz every 2 hours sometimes when he was going through growth spurts he would drink every hour. I agree with the other moms here that say it depends on the baby!

When my son was 4 months he was drinking between 4 to 6 oz, but if she is still hungry after 6 then I would give her a couple more.

My son was drinking 6 to 8 oz.. Hes 5 months now and drinks 8 to 10oz.. But the doctor said it all depends.. My friends baby is the same age as mine and she only drank 4oz but i made the hole in the nipple bigger and now she drinks 6oz. So it all depends on your baby.
