How often do you buy clothes for yourself, hubby, and children?

And how many of each item of clothing do you think they/you need? :)

I mostly shop for my kids and myself at the same time. I don't think my husband would ever trust me to pick clothes out for him, lol! I go shopping at least once every month for the kids and at least one every two months for myself.

Just the standard replacement of socks under and the like the rest once or twice a year

This really depends on your financial situation and the age of your children. I buy about 90% of our clothes at the end of the season when they get marked down to 75% off. Target and Kohls in my area are great with markdowns and I can't remember the last time I paid for an item that was not marked at least 75% (kohls gets them down to 90% arund here). By shopping off season I can buy more with less money. I do have a monthly budget for it but there are months when I do not buy anything. I have a large family so some clothes are passed down to the next one but I give quite a bit away when they are outgrown, if the last that long. The quality of clothes is not as good as it used to be even 6 years ago.
As to how many items they need depends on how often you are willing to do laundry and the age. They get messy and dirty more often when they are toddlers. Also, how much you pay for an item plays a role in quantity. Paying $10 for a shirt vs. paying $1.75 makes a big difference.

I have two teenagers at home and I love shopping. So, I would say I am buying for them or myself constantly. But for my husband, maybe every now and then. He likes to shop also, so he mostly buys for himself:-)

I seem to buy either the kids or myself an item of clothing everyfortnight. I like having new stuff. I do big laybys for us all every 3mnths.

My husband and kids get clothes as needed. Kids usually get more clothes around change of seasons and as they grow out of stuff (although I try to buy clearance stuff the next size up for next season when I can). I try to keep enough stuff on hand for them to have at least a weeks worth of clean clothes in their drawers just in case they have those days where they go through four outfits. My husband hates dealing with clothes so I try to make sure he has what he needs when he needs it. I don't buy clothes for myself very often though.

I made a vow to buy myself a new item of clothing every week this year, THEN I GOT PREGNANT. So i have enough maternity clothes because I won't wear them forever so I don't buy myself stuff. My husband never goes shopping and I've decided unless he comes with, I'm not buying him clothes unless it's work socks or work jeans as he is always too big in the shoulders for shirts and stuff and needs to try things on. I buy Logan stuff when he changes size and often from the op shop or in a big spree when I go to Rockhampton.

I'm always buying something for my son. He just seems to grow out of his clothes as soon as I buy them. And he's tall and skinny, so any time I find 4 slim jeans I grab them! It's so difficult to find them.

And now I feel a little guilty because Chad and I pick up a new outfit for ourselves a few times a year. It's usually a shirt here, a pair of pants there...not a major shopping trip all at once, but a little something every month or two and something at the holidays/birthdays.

I am a bit overly obsessed with purses and I just don't go in those stores/departments often :) haha Although I broke that rule this month...but it was my birthday.

For the kids? Constantly. For myself never. I do buy socks and underwear once in a while, but for the most part I spend it on my kids.

I buy my husband new clothes for Christmas and birthday and Father's Day. It's never much, but it's enough to replace what he's worn out. For example, last Christmas he got two new dress shirts.

For myself, I buy new clothes when I find a great deal on name brands. Yes, I buy name brand. I find that certain brands last for years and years. So when I find a great deal on a good name brand AND I have a little extra spending cash, I'll go for it. My mom tends to buy me clothes for holidays, so that helps.

We are very blessed to receive hand-me-downs for the kids. Usually what we get from big cousins is enough. I frequent thrift stores and consignment stores to fill in the gaps from what we get in hand-me-downs. And again, my mom will buy them clothes...usually nicer things. My mom likes to shop for us. =)

The last time my husband got new clothes we were still dating.... that was over 3 years ago. He's gotten a couple of shirts and pants (when they wore out), but nothing major. He really needs an overhal.

I haven't gotten anything new in about a year. Although most of my clothes are unusable since I stopped working.

My daughter is 16 months... that's where our clothing money goes. Not that she has a lot. She just outgrows them fast. She has 4 dresses, 6 pants, and about 8 shirts.
