My daughter was 9 mnths when she started walking, my son however was a different story! He didn't starte walking until like 16-17 months and that wasn't until I stopped nursing. He could stand on his own but couldn't/wouldn't walk. But as soon as he did he was gone. Like I've seen before, if ur doc isn't worried just go with it, all of them choose their own pace and he will walk when he is ready. Good Luck Momma and enjoy not having to chase him while you can!

My son was 9 months...But just becasue your son isnt walking yet doesnt mean something is wrong with him. Maybe he just isnt ready yet. As long as the doctors say nothing is wrong then dont worry about it. He will walk in his own time just dont give up hope and dont force him...My son refused to walk when we tried to make him and as soon as we stopped trying to force him he started walking. Dont give up hope it will happen eventually!!!!!!!!

My daughter is 14 months and she can not walk yet. only when being supported. She cant even stand on her own only again while being supported. Sh doesnt really talk much either. she does the whole baby talk and will throw a mamma and a dadda in every once in a while. but i think babies excell ing different things. My daughter can brush her own teeth and can climb down the bed with out falling or getting hurt she can climb up and down stairs. i just feel she isnt ready to walk yet. thats her own decision. if your dr isnt really concerned then dont sweat it.

My son was only 9 months, and his sister was 9 1/2 months. They were both small. I have found that heavier babies take longer to walk. It is more work for them when they have more weight to move. We also spent a lot of time letting them play on their feet to develop their leg muscles.

My daughter was 10 months. My sister was a preemie though, and she didn't start walking until she was almost 2. She is amazingly brillant and nothing was wrong she was just so small at birth.
