22 years ago there was actual fitness shows that showed how to do exercises with your child as the weight. You could google or search the internet for sites that might show how to do them. They had situps, push ups, leg weights, that is all I can remember off the top of my head. Using your child as a weight works great, cause as they gain weight so does your progress when lifting or carrying them. My youngest 2 now are at 85 lbs and even though I can't carry them far , I can still carry them if I am careful to lift correctly. There might even be some video's at a rental store or the library that cover exercising with your toddler or baby. Teach your child to exercise with you, it will carry through to adult life for them.

The best workout i get is at my home playing with my 19 month old. Running out with him wears me out, and him too. I also pick him up and down, but when I do it I make funny faces or sounds so he is thinking that I am playing which I am, but I'm also working out my arms and upper body! It is great.

All these mommies are right. Play with the baby! Lifting her high up in the air will help your arms and your back. Put the baby on the floor between your legs, and then do situps. Each time you come up to the baby, make a face or a silly noise at her. My boy loves this. He giggles non stop!
His little ride on car is a blessing and a curse all at the same time. He loves to be pushed around real fast. We fly around the furniture playing cops. We make the siren noise, we spin wheels, we slide around corners... and then I fall down in the floor and search for my medic-alert button. LOL That car is HUGE exercise.

play with her! the more you play and run around and lift and such things the more exercise you'll be doing, plus she will be dong some aswell, and it will help tire her out, just as theresa suggests, it will be fun for her, exercise for you, and both will be happy !!!

I do my workouts after she goes to bed. my daughter doesn't nap anymore so night time it is, or I hit the gym at night when hubby is home.

Play chase around the house for cardio. Lay on the floor and put your baby on your legs and lift up and down for leg muscles. Lift your baby up and down in the air to work your arms. Be creative. I did this with my son and we always had a blast and I got back to my old self in no time.

i workout in my house.. i dont go to the gym because i dont like the idea of her being in the daycare with someone i dont know watching her so i workout at home.. right in my own livingroom with her right there with me! i do jumping jacks which my 16 month old daughter thinks is hilarious & laughs the whole time while trying to copy me & i do situps with my feet under the couch as well. and if i can find the time before she gets up in the morning or while she is napping i go in my basement to use my treadmill & bring the baby monitor with me until she wakes up!
