Its been almost 4 mths now since i delivered. Though i have lost weight.... i can't seem to get rid of my flabby tummy. I know crunches do wonders...but i can't seem to do them as i get severe back pain due to an earlier accident. Can anyone suggest any other exercises that can be done at home without straining the back???

i am here with you and it has been a year. try yoga, maybe swimming which is suppose to be low impact on joints - i have arthritis and try to get to the pool as often as i can to work out. when doing house chores walk around with a straight posture and tighten your "core" (abs) - hope this helps some!

Hey Cheryl, thank you so much! I just checked the website and the videos do look like loads of fun. I can't wait to get my hands on them.

(I had to delete and repost in order to make a correction...)

Try keeping your stomach sucked in as often as you can. This is the best way to get and keep a firm tummy. Also, slow side twists are good.

You only had your baby 4 months ago so give yourself a break. Your stomach has been stretched beyond itself and it will probably take anywhere between 6 months to 2 years to get the muscles back to how they used to be. Crunches are only good if you shift excess weight around your muscles first so a lot of walking/jogging/riding/resistance work will help with this. You look young and healthy so you'll be back in no time!! Ab excercises are also prob no good at this stage as your muscles are still seperated so may be doing more harm than good. Maybe keep doing your pelvic floor excercises?

I used the TURBO JAM videos to shed my baby weight.  I never liked exercising at all until I got the Turbo Jam videos.   Check them out at beachbody.com or get them cheaper off of ebay.  I dropped inches very fast!  There are two girls that do low impact on the dvd and they lost just as much as the rest of the crew.  The music is great and she is a lot of fun to follow.  Good luck with baby and your after baby body.
