HI, I am new to this site and not quite sure how it works yet. But, I am a stay at home mom of 3, ages 3 3 and 4, two of them are mine and one is my soon to be stepson. I am trying to meet new people and find a way to also meet new people in my area. I do not know anyone and miss having friends, people to talk to or just hang out with. I have not worked in 5 years now and now that I'm not "out there" anymore I don't know how to meet people anymore. All of my neighbors are either senior citizens or basically teenagers that just want to party all the time lol I have also thought about joining a gym or something like that but I rarely get to leave the house without all 3 chilren being with me so I just really don't know how to meet new people and make some friends......HELP PLEASE LOL

Yeah it kinda sucks not having SD social life anymore and while I don't mind going out and having a cpl drinks now and then its not something I want to do every weekend and for days at a time ya know. And I also don't have the money to take 3 children to museums and aquariums and things like that all the time its just way to expensive so its breally hard trying to meet new people especially when all u do is sit home all day everyday

I'm in the same boat, except my dd is almost 6 and now in school. I still stay at home. A lot of the people I know either have kids my age or are old enough to have kids my age. Me and DH are having a huge problem finding people around our age who have children around DD's age. Most parents we've met around our age always want to party on the weekends and don't watch their children when they get in that party mood. One thing I can't stand is an irresponsible parent. I too haven't found anyways to get out and meet people. When DD was younger I hated the mommy groups I found. They were very clique-y and I was always the poor, broke one in the group who couldn't go out to places they wanted to take the kids. Now that DD's in school I just sit around the house and clean up and wait for DD to get out of school. No social life at all.
