How to stop breastfeeding without the pain??

My little girl is 4 months old! I know that my breast milk is the best thing for her but breast feeding and pumping is sooooo painful for me! I don't wish to do it anymore! I am currently pumping 12ounces per pumping. She mainly only breastfeeds when she gets over excited and needs comfort or when we are out and I didn't pack enough stored breast milk! She has been on the bottle since we left the hospital so I am not worried about her taking to the bottle! I am more worried about the pain that comes with each time I have tried stopping! My breast become engorged to the point that I go in and pump just to stop the pain! I am not sure if there is an easier way to do this! I just can't take the pain from pumping/breastfeeding and I don't wish to go through the pain of stopping my milk factories from producing!! The pain is so bad I want to throw up each time!! Please help!!!!!

Consult an expert about the pain! It shouldn't hurt so much to feed your baby.

Taking vitamin B6 helps to reduse milk production. You need to take it for at least 5 days for it to help. Cold cabbage leaves in your bra are a lifesaver!!!!!! It's amazing how good it feels (I have done this myself). Also if you are really engorged just express enough to relieve it, not too much or you will keep producing milk.

I got the information from this page and there are other hints as well.
