I am a SAHM and feeling very lonely and isolated....

Hi everyone! I am a SAHM of 3 - 10 yr old boy, 6 yr old girl and a newborn girl who is 2 weeks. I am so so grateful and fortunate to have the option to stay at home with them as my hubby makes enough financially for me to do so.
The only problem is I feel so lonely and isolated as I only have 1 friend in the town I live in (I moved here 15 months ago) and she has grown children so we don't spend alot of time together with me having younger ones. I just find the days so long and I am desperate for even just one mom friend that I could befriend and do things with .... like just going to the park, having coffee, etc.
I live in Northern BC, Canada.....any moms from up here??
Any feedback is appreciated......thanks!!

I had the same feelings when I moved 4 years ago..my youngest was 2 at the time and quite sick..in and out of the hospital ect what helped was getting out. I was fortunate that the town I lived in had several mommy and me groups that I could go to. I was able to meet other moms and I did make some friends that way. The other thing I did was to volunteer at my older boys school. I couldn't really volunteer in the classroom because I ddnt have childcare for my youngest but I joined several committees and meet people that way. Good luck it is a hard road sometime

I too am a SAHM and often feel the way you do. I wish I had some good advice (or lived near you!), but I haven't had much luck meeting new people since I quit work over 6 years ago. Since you have a new baby, maybe you could do some of those Mommy & Me type things? Just a thought...anyway, I hope you find some help here. Keep your chin up! :)
