I have a 15 month old who loves to play with my cell phone. I always let him, and this time it disappeared. He only had it for literally five minutes and he was only able to go in the living, dining rooom or kitchen. We have looked everywhere, even going through the trash, in drawers, in the couch, etc, all the obvious things. I have a 5 year old that used to hide things in odd places, which all children do, but I can't seem to figure out where my 15 month old has hidden my phone!! Does anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences with kids 'hiding' things?

LOL I know what you are going through. My dd was playing with my cell one day and to this day I can't find it. I believe she threw it away. Kids at that age see you throwing things away and they think that they are helping you by throwing everything they pick away....including cell phones.

Have you tired calling you phone?

My 2 year old flushed mine down the toilet! I looked and looked and looked and finally asked my 4 year old and he told me. He SWEARS he tried to stop her:) I'm sure he was completely innocent in the whole deal! lol

nope, haven't found it yet.  I told my brother he could have it, but we have to find it first, so he's going to come over and help me look. So maybe it will turn up.

I just had the same problem!!  My son hid his night light.  My husband and I looked everywhere for it.  I asked our Son where is was and he went over to the fridge.  IT was under the fridge!!!!!!!!!    Try asking him where it is!!!

Check things at your child's level. What I mean is try searching all over the floor and underneath all couchs, tables and any low lying cabinets. My daughter got a hold of my husband's credit card and we searched all over. We finally gave up and then two days later she found them under the bed. We just laughed and then put them away where she could not reach.

Try calling it and don't let your toddler get his hands on it. Keeps out of reach.

Have you tried calling it (that would be a problem for me though b/c we don't have landlines in our home anymore!)? The same thing happened to us about a year ago w/ a snack cup, at least that wasn't as important as a phone though! We still have no clue where that snack cup ended up...

Ha! Yah we called it, it was the first thing we did. But it went straight to my voice mail. It was on when he grabbed it, and battery was fully charged. I remember thinking I should have locked the keys on it. So I know that he must have dropped it somewhere where the back would fall off and the battery fall out for it to turn off that quick.

Is your son able to get the fridge door open?  My cousins son loved hiding things in the fridge.  Perhaps that is where it is, lol

my son got my keys at a friends house last week! We searched high and low forever! I couldnt find them and I do not have a spare set ( i have a bmw and it is too expensive for me to get a spare key) i literally searched eerywhere! I ended up finding them in the trash! I see that you looked there but he has also hid things many times in his toy chest, diaper bag, he also has a ball pit a small car and he puts EVERYTHING in there. I am assuming you give it to your child off because you would have called it! sometimes it is in the most obvious place and you cant find it. Why is it our children love hiding things on us? haha..i also find things on our kitchen chairs and we also have a cabinet in nthe kitchen, one of the lower ones that we filled with tupper ware and all that goood stuff so he can open it on his own and play in there, i find alot of things in there.. i hope you find it soon! Good luck and let me know if and when you find it! GOOD LUCK!
