I personally am not going to get the H1N1 for either myself or my girls, although the girls do get their regular vaccinations.

The regular flu shots they give are basically just a cocktail of 5 or 6 of the flu viruses that they expect to go around the year they give the shot. With the H1N1 it's the same type of "hit or miss", and there is much less testing that has been done.

Also, with flu, it's not really the flu that hurts people, it's the symptoms from the flu - as long as you are treating the flu and not letting your kids get really dehydrated they should be fine.

I wouldn't! I live in Missouri and they said the rate around the US for babies getting it is WORSE with the shot than without. My baby just got over Swine Flu! it's not fun!! very stressful and very hard. We caught it just in time!

i would just stick to the ones in the baby book. if they wanted us to give our child/children that shot then i believe that the government should have put it in the book

I totally wouldnt due to the fact that there isnt enough info. on what really is the H1N1...I know is has scared ALOT but to me there just isnt enough info. And I have seen some facts on what it has done to those who have gotten them. Of course they said it just happen to be those one in a million that that happen to??? I think not when we dont know what H1N1 is....:)
