So I'm new at this stay at home mom stuff. My daughter will be 18 months old on Jan. 13th, I havent been a stay at home mom the entire time. When she was first born I was working first shift full time and her father worked 2nd shift full time, so it kinda of worked out for her, but now that Im no longer working, I stay home wiht her and honestly, I think shes board with me. I try playing with her, I try coloring with her. But she doesnt want anything to do with me. I know she would much rather be at daycare with otherkids her age. I try the one on one learning, but she has no interest in it. Shes so indipendant, all day she just does her own little thing unless shes hungry and then shes comes to me.
Does anyone have any advice on how i can get closer with her? I dont want a distant relationship with her. And I want her to be learning something.

Oh this is normal for them to not be interested. Our Daughter was the same way. Actually she still is to this day and she is almost 11 years old. What I would do is just go in to the room where she was and just sit or lay down and next thing I knew she would come over and interact with me. I wouldn't say anything just be there.

Also be grateful you have a little one that can entertain themselves. It is hard when they are constantly needing your attention 24-7.
