I agree with Annette, boys take longer. I have two girls who were potty trained at two and a son (he is 6 now), who was potty trained at 4! Normally boys are potty trained between 3 and 4. Age 4 is a little on the later side but he had physical delays. Take him to the potty every 45 min. until he goes. Sooner or later he'll get it but it comes in their own time. Don't feel like you have to rush it because he is 2. He may not be ready. But then again, with persistance in taking him, he just may get it.

The Cheerio thing does work. My son was potty trained at two and that helped.

try loading him up with juice and sit to watch tv , it may entertain him long enough.also potty training isnt something you can rush. if they are not ready you will compound trouble by forcing the issue. in my personal opinion there is no magic age.you look for clues and know your own child, judge for yourself some boys arent ready til al ost 3
