I have a 8 month old (5 month corrected) son. He is a great napper during the day and goes down at night on his own between 8:30-9pm. However he wakes up between 3-4 I feed him and when I lay him back down he squirms and kicks and screams. I need some advice please I dont know what to do..ive tried letting him fuss it out but I cant do it and I give in and hold him for an hour or so but he squirms the whole time. He is asleep when he is doing this also his eyes are closed and he is in that sleep stage.

yeah i was thinking similar too, my son had them (yes the same son..lol) but his were very mild and he was older. he used to come downstairs gently crying, so i would gently guide him back to bed and sooth him until he had settled. no talking other than it's ok, you're alright....shhhh! whilst gently stroking his hair!

is he like this after every feed or just the one at night? do you put him to bed with the light on 1st time and off with the second? my son had to be weaned off the light, then needed a piece of his dads clothes (his scarf) over his eyes, not his nose and mouth i waited until he was asleep to make sure it didn't slip, then took it away. i figured that out by his fighting to bury his head under my arm after every feed. it's trial and error sometimes, hard when you are so tired, but worth paying attention to everything and figuring it out from there honey.
