i am a sahm of two great boys ten & 4 1/2 months,im engaged to a good guy, who does everything with the oldest but really has nothing to do with the baby! he says that the baby only wants me, but what does he expect? when he does hold the baby he cries and he gives him back to me! i have the baby 24/7 no breaks at all, theres days when i am lucky to brush my teeth, and every time i mention time to myself he says he works third shift and has to sleep, i understand that but not till the time you go to work!!!i just want some time to myself a hot bath or a movie!is that to much to ask? i have given up!! ladies i need some advice!!! I feel your pain my husband has worked that shift since we began our lives together. He used the same worn out excuses until the kids were big enough to walk because the real problem wasn't that the baby wanted me the real problem was that he was scared of the baby because @ that age they are so small and fragile. My advice to you is to make an appoint to get your hair cut or your nails done and to do so on one of your fiances days off. Be honest with him and be blunt tell him that just need an hour away to gain your composure and come home happy then he'll begin to understand the importance of it all and he'll have bonding time with baby:) Everybody wins.
