you are really going to save alot of money this way just be picky about what you get i wouldnt get anything that is meant to go in their mouths like chewing rings or anything and make sure you wash and sterilize the toy before giving it to your child and than i would think you just hit a gold mine.

ok i see.. well this is a little different than a consignment shop. ive been to several and like one person said they want damn near full price for good condition items. but what we've though of is literally like a trading spot. we all have kids of different ages and taste. like they say another person trash is another persons' treasure. i saw my daughter trade 3dollbabys and outifts to her friend for the same. and our sons did the same he had a car my son wanted and vice versa. so they traded and everyone was happy. kids do it all the time but they never tell us. so why not go to a place where you can take your kids and keep track of what they traded??!..we would only have new/used items nothing trashy!..and you would only pay a trading fee.. like 5 items and less you'll only pay like 6 bucks..that can be like 5barbies or a like 4race cars and a basketball.. you know things your kids are gonna play with! thats our biggest thins is getting things our kids will play with. like for instance you can trade off your infants' toys for toddler toys now that theyre older..i think its less hassel then trying to find the perfect toy in stores! tell me what you think now?

All for it here, too! My sisters and some of our friends even started a circle, where when one gets pregnant, we all send our left over maternity clothes, baby items, kids clothes, shoes and toys! That stuff is expensive and shouldn't go to waste. The stores are great, and they make every effort to sell things that are in good condition. Shopping there is just smart!

i love stores like that! i shop at thrift stores and re sale shops! i aslo sell or donate my kids toys and clothes. id much rather trade used things for now cause they dont play with or wear them long enough to always buy new.

Of course, I use consignment shops for baby and kids clothes since they use them so briefly....and I certainly would for toys and books too in good condition!

There is a consignment shop in my neighborhood. It is a great place to find gently used things and somewhere I can take thing to sell. All for it!!!

Yes, i would shop there, my big thing is getting stuff that is not junk and for cheap prices. some stores that are second hand are hard to find good stuff and when you do they want nearly new prices for them....so with that in mind, i think its a great idea!

I have in the past. I also donate to the library, Salvation Army and women's shelters. Their clothes are used so briefly, if at all, that to not pass them along seems a huge waste. As for the toys and book, if my kids no longer need them, someone else should get a chance to use them.

Good luck with your project.
