I was just wondering if a 2 and a half year old should slober alot????

My son is that age and slobbers a lot... He also loves to stick his fingers in his mouth and suck on them.

I agree, probably the molars coming in. My son is just over 2 and he has JUST started slobbering and chewing on things (that he stuffs way in the back of his mouth). He had a dentist appt. and the dentist said that his molars were not in yet, but should be soon. When I told him that he just in the last few days starting to slobber and put everything in his mouth, he said they will probably be thru any day now.

Toddlers tend to slobber alot when there molars are coming through right at the back. The tongue muscles also have to learn to move around these teeth to pronounce words properly and this produces more spit than usual. It will settle down eventually.
