It's only the beginning of February and we still have at leat 3 months before the weather gets nice here in NY. My son learned to walk in the cold weather so he has a lot of energy and we're cooped up in the house. Anyone have any good ideas to keep him..and i ...occupied all winter. I temporarily had to take my car off the road for 2 months and i'm a stay at home mom. We get so bored of sitting around the house and doing the same thing every day. He is bored with his toys. I'm just out of ideas ....

If there is a Barnes and Noble bookstore near you they do story time on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30. I take my 14 month old there. It's free and it gets us out of the house. My son also just learned to walk and is a ball of energy. I took him to Burger King today and let him play in the play place. I live in Virginia and this weather sucks, especially with these storms we keep having! You could try joining the YMCA, they might have toddler gymnastics classes or something like that. I know the one here does.

Go outside for a walk. My aunt who lives in NY tied a big rope to the front of a sled and she would pull her kids around on it when there was too much snow for the stroller. OR you could baby wear to go for walks.

I totally feel your pain, my son and I are at home a lot too and it's hard to get out in winter, but as long as it's not too cold we try to take walks. Luckily we have a library that is fairly close by and we visit there at least once a week.
