Inspiration to all that Stay Home

Life is too short not to be inspired or laugh or embrace every God given moment that you have with your children. Staying at home full time can definitely be a challenge, I mean with not having any "personal time or space" but remember how rewarding it is! You enjoy every moment of their life with them .. for now! Look at it as a journey that you were chosen to take, not a job you have to do! When you start to feel overwhelmed look into those beautiful eyes staring back at you and smile, or cry which ever you need to do, but remember this too shall pass. It won't always be so hard and you can one day look back and thank God that you had the opportunity to give this child the wonderful gift of staying at home and being a part of their everyday activities. Everyone should be so lucky.

Too all those that criticize SAHM's know that until you walk a mile in our shoes you have no clue what it is like. We don't get 15 min breaks to re-focus unless you count running to the bathroom and even then it is usually interrupted, I mean if you have a nosey toddler like me :) We also don't get a lunch break or a time card. It's full on 24/7, and not only are you taking care of a child, but you are doing all the house work, cooking, cleaning, errands etc... So, next time you think to bash us remember we have numerous roles in our profession and we must be a master to them all. Please, next time you meet a stay at home mom... tell her how much you appreciate the work she is able to do, or befriend her and send her a random card, or e-mail. Trust me we need the extra encouragement!

Have a Great Weekend!!

This was an amazing post! My husband and I are having some financial difficulties at the moment and we're trying to work it out so that I can continue to stay at home with my beautiful daughter. We really do have the most important jobs in the world. It's nice to feel like someone else appreciates that :)

I agree with all of you ladies, I am thankful everyday that I am able to stay home with my son. Denisha, I agree with you that we need encouragement once in awhile to help us know that we are doing a great job doing all the job titles that come under being a 24/7 stay at home mommy to all our children. I am glad that I am one of the lucky ones especially with the way the economy and life in general is where both parents need to work to be able to make the bills and the kids get raised either by other family members who don't work or daycare workers that you are working to be able to pay to watch your kids so that you can work.

I wouldn't change being a stay at home mom for the world! this is what I used to dream about before I had my daughter and I hope to continue to stay home for as long as I possibly can.
