Is it bad that I feel depressed thinking of the birth of my next child?

I have two children at home, my stepson (9yr) and my babe (15mo). I was initially excited to be carrying another child. We've since started homeschooling our oldest, and now I'm not only taking care of ALL the household chores AND picking up after my husband AND doing all the cooking, I'm also using any free time I would otherwise have making lessons. My son is doing great with homeschooling, he's excelling really well and his self-esteem and confidence is repairing after a really bad year at school last year. I'm up by 4 am every morning (if I'm lucky to sleep that late) and in bed by 9pm every night. I put the kids to bed around 8 and clean up supper and dishes before going to bed. My husband works all day, sometimes overtime, and rarely does anything around the house but make a mess. Thinking about the next baby is depressing because I know it's going to mean more work and less sleep. I feel like I'm at the end of my rope and even though I've brought this up to my husband he's done little to help out (in a week he helped with dishes once and looked after the kids once for a few hours)...

Do you have family or friends that would be willing to take the kids for a night so you can get out? Maybe you can get a pregnancy massage or just go for a walk and decompress. Also, it sounds like maybe you need to get your 9 yo to start helping with the chores (i.e. dishes) at night; your 15mo can help too...just teach her. Try to find ways to delegate. If you can't, then find ways to reorganize your way of thinking. Crockpot meals are something you can create in one day and then freeze. That's just one day of serious clean up and the rest of the week you can throw the dishes the dishwasher (or to the 9 yo). Hugs!! Don't stress....that new baby will bring you so many days of laughter that the bad days are worth it!!! XXXXX^n
