it sounds like a minor reaction. When giving a new baby food give the same thing for a few days so that if a reaction does occur (like a major one) you'll know what caused it. keep a journal of all reactions how long they lasted and what was being fed and bring it back to ur dr so he'll have a better way to look at it. most likely going to say just dont give it to him if he reacts but make sure you watch his breathing and such.

If your doc isn't worried and it goes away on it's own it sounds like it's just a skin reaction. My daughter gets the same thing if she gets orange juice or tomato on her skin (and since she's almost 2 sometimes she wears as much as she eats lol). If you are really concerned, take him in as soon as the irritation develops and have it checked out right away - your doctor can tell a lot better what is going on if they see the rash/splotches for themselves than going by a description.

I think that i could try to blend up food your self and see if that does the same thing if not then i would do that instead of the baby food!

it's very important to feed babies the right food for their age. feeding him something too early can lead to an allergic reaction. try feeding him 1 thing per week to determine the culprit & then just don't give him that particular food.

What types of food are you feeding him when that happens? Certain fruits and vegetables are very acidic and would cause a skin irritation. It happened to my son. He grew out of it.
