I'm just wondering about my baby's weight.. I'm 5'6 and the father is 6'3.. we did a doctor check up and she's now 15 pounds and she's turning 4 months in December the 5th. she is only a few inches away from being 2 feet tall... is it to much for her to be this heavy or is this a good weight for her??

My son was a preemie, born 34 weeks 6 days. I'm 5'5 and his dad is over 6'. When he was 4 months he weighed 15 lbs 3 oz. Gestationally he was only 2.5 months old. He is tall like his daddy. The doctor said everything was fine.If your worried you should talk to your doctor :)

Oh I forgot to add, my 8 month old was 5lbs 10oz at birth and is now 14lbs. DH and I are both 5'5. But my nephew was 6lbs 2oz at birth and is now 13lbs at 3 months. It has a lot to do with feeding and your genetics

It depends on the baby;s birthweight and genetics. Given that you and your husband are both tall it's not uncommon for her height and weight. As Sherri said if there was a problem your doctor would let you know.

as long as she is healthy and eats/sleeps well and meets all her milestones we really dont have to worry. My daughter is two and weighs 22 pounds she is very tiny but full of energy and eats well, we've been to see people about but it just her build but everyone get a shock cause she was born 9.1 lbs. You can't put a baby on a diet, once she starts crawling they tend to not gain as much so quickly

My 4 month old baby is 16 lbs 4.5 oz and 25 inches long. My first was not nearly this big, but I breastfed her on both breasts a feeding. This baby takes one breast a feeding and I think that gets her way more fatty hindmilk. I'm definitely not worried. Their weight gaining will slow pretty soon when they become more mobile.
