This is about the 10th time that my kid has played with the neighbor, and ended up sick 2 days later. 102 fever, totally down in the dumps. Last time she got strep, no spots yet but they could surface. Is this possible or am I just grasping?

either way whether its a coincedence or some germ the kid is carrying...id still not want to go through that again. it could be either. theres no real way of telling. it could be they are carriers or they havent the same bacteria as your kid and it challenges their immune system bringing on an attack of something worse. it could just be a coincedence. but if its happened ten times id say its not worth putting your kid through a fever the eleventh time just to proove it. theres no way to prove it.

I get that. I didn't want to go around them, then I have my little loudmouth scream out "My mom says I just got better and I can't play with you cause you make me sick." LOL. But against my better judgment I let them play. And here we are again. The only way I can prove my theory is by literally not taking her anywhere until she gets better, then exposing her to him again, but then I have a sick kid again. But it's like there are only 4 kids her age on the street and they can't avoid each other forever...

No clue. The parent says no, but I really have no idea how these people feel about medicine, vaccinations etc.
