I asked my sons doctor this one and the doctor said as long as I was not over drinking soda and that I was making sure to drink enough water that it was no big deal to have a soda. My son is now 6 months old I drink soda and as long as I drink enough water I dont see any problem in it...just because you breastfeed doesnt mean you have to give up soda...maybe just cut down if you are drinking to much

Everything is fine in moderation. However if you drink more than the equivalent to two cups of coffee in caffiene per day then some caffiene may go through to the baby and they will have trouble going to sleep.

DEPENDS ON EVERYONES BODY?

I drank Pepsi during pregnancy and breastfeeding during both my kids and they are the strongest healthiest kids out there :) Even their Pediatrition said so :) I breastfed both for 18 months & still right now trying to ween the younger one off. A lot you hear is myths, I think.

i breastfed all my babies who were in the nicu cuz they were preemies. the nurses and drs there told me of course water is best for your supply but it's perfectly fine for your baby if you drink soda or coffee. my children all were prescribed caffeine to their milk as infants to help with preemie heart problems. it's really common and a very common prescription, too. so if you need a soda, chug away...just don't forget your water! haha

I believe that in moderation it is fine. And by moderation, I mean a glass or two a day, not an hour (like my husband does lol). They say that there has been a small link between drinking soda and miscarriages (which I don't really believe), but even if it was true, that's during pregnancy. Caffeine itself should be consumed in moderation anytime.

Just try to remember everything you eat or drink, your baby gets from your breastmilk. There was no way I could give up pop while I was pregnant or nursing so I limited myself to one can a day. I just wouldnt go over board on caffiene. Good luck

I have heard that too much caffeine can give the baby the jitters, I have also heard that is a myth. Either way, water is better because it helps keep up milk supply. I think a couple sodas a day, caffeine or not, should be okay
