Is it still sleep regression at 5 months?

So I've heard about the dread 4 month sleep regression the problem is at 5 and a half months my baby has gone from a few wakeful nights of sleep starting at around 4 months to waking up 4 to 5 times a night every night now for almost a week.

I should start off by saying my baby is an excellent napper she takes 3 naps a day like clockwork for about an hour each. Her last nap is usually around 3.30 and is the longest at around 2 hours.

She goes to sleep at around 7pm and does a solid 5 or 6 hours of mostly uninterrupted sleep before her night wakings start. At around 1am she'll wake up fuss and eventually start crying before I attempt to comfort her.

I've tried everything, feeding her, changing her diaper, rocking her back to sleep and even ignoring her (although i must admit its difficult to do this because we cosleep)with all the same outcome. She'll be up for an hour and then sleep for an hour only to start the cycle over until she officially starts her day at around 7 am.

She would wake up once or twice before starting at 4 months but i was always able to put her back to sleep for longer periods of time.

Now it seems nothing I do is working and I'm finding myself exhausted to the point of depression.

Has anyone gone through this? Is this normal behavior or am i reinforcing some sleep abnormality? Please any suggestions on how to stop these sleep disturbances are welcome.
