Rub the bottom of her feet with vicks. Then put heavy socks on over top. It sounds a little crazy, but works great. In our area we have this stuff called Unkers and it is like vicks only stronger. I use it on my children and myself and it always works. We at least get a good solid 6 hrs of sleep out of it every time. I try not to use it during the day, just the night, because you want them to cough some. That is the body's way of getting rid of the mucus in the lungs.

I agree, the humidifier and doing the baby vicks vapor rub, I put in on the feet and chest. I also used the Little Noses Nasal spray, just one in each nostril, sometimes the cough is from sinus drainage and I would suck it out with the aspirator and that helped also.

hey candace, i have two kids and found the best thing to help ease a cough at that age was to let the shower or bath run really hot water, put a towel across the bottom of the door and keep your baby in there as long as you can.oblivously she isnt in the bath:) do this four or five times in the day and especially before bedtime.

also try using a vapo rub on your babies chest and rub some garlic on callies foot. sounds gross but really works for coughs and colds. try putting a towel under the mattress to raise it ever so slighty so her head will be slighty tilted to stop her catching her breath.

you can still use some paracetamol. hope it helps and you get some sleep:)

not that i know of other then a Cool Mist Humidifier ( warm ones can put bactira in the air and make them sicker) Baby Vicks on the feet, or sitting in the bathroom on the potty or floor with the door closed and shower on HOT HOT will help with a cough... Other then that you can call and speak with your doctor and see if they have any more advice for you.. I know mine gave me a cough medicine for my 2 year old and 9 month old (8 month old adjusted) so she would have been 6 months ( 5 months adjusted age) when giving the medicne.. I would try the little things first and if it still not helping to call and talk with your doctor and see what they can offer.. Best Wish and Take Care
