So i just got my Mirena IUD removed on February 26 after having it in for about 3.5 years.. my doctor said to wait a month (until i get my period) before trying to conceive.. I just got my period on March 27.. So my question is, what are some good tips on getting pregnant? I know that you should have sex when you ovulate which would be your most fertile days but how often during ovulation should you have sex? I have heard having sex every other day during the time you ovulate would be best (because i guess it gives time for the man's sperm to mature and to be able to "swim" to your egg) and i also heard from other sources you should have sex every day during (or around) the time you ovulate .. Has anyone had any success with getting pregnant if you had sex every other day? and do ovulation tests really work and are they accurate? any advice would be great! Thanks in advance! :)

Well 2 out of my 3 pregnancies we only had sex once in the month. It doesn't really matter how much sex you have, it is just dependent on the timing.
Get yourself an ovulation kit to find out when you are ovulating. It's not always in the middle of your cycle either.

Thanks, amber! We will try that! It's just sometimes hard to "relax" when you want a baby so badly..lol I already have 2 kids.. I didn't try with either of them really.. So this will be the first time I will be "trying."
I will try and not to worry so much! Thanks for the tip! 😀

SEX,SEX and more Sex lol. But seriously try to not worry so much about when you ovulate. The easiest way I found was to enjoy the process because our brains play a role in conceiving. Oh and having sex in the late a.m and early a.m worked for us in 3 months between 12am-6am.Good Luck
