After brought up my kids while working, and now they're teenagers..staying home feeling weird.
Don't know what to do while everybody's out working & schools..
I guess trying to enjoy staying home..
So ..been busy with friends @ FB.. got addicted..
Try to walk the dog same time every weekday..n prepare dinner every weekday afternoon..
Try to work out my body.. weekday.. and after weekend they're back..
Try to clean up the house.. little by little..the house was in big mess..
so it's been more than a month now..
No comment from my husband.. except his face says it all.. (is this really what you want?)
Seems enjoying but no major change than when I work.. my teenagers not found job yet.. so they urge me to go back to work for their allowance..
Hm.. maybe I should find a job.. or may be I should wait 'till everybody got used to this..

Hi Karen,
Thank you for the advice, my sons exciting to look for a job.. I admit, I kind of scared that they'll abandon their school.. because I btdt.. but my sons told me that they're not going to abandon school like me..n that I need to trust them.
And yeah.. actually I've been thinking of starting a special bible study group for women.. and.. realized why I'm bored.. you are a blessing.. thank you very much

Hi Cindy,

I'm a stay at home mom too.  I'm still raising two at home and have sent one off to college.  It's been 6 years since I worked outside the home.

You sound a bit bored trying to find things to keep you busy.  I was doing the same thing about a year ago.  I was mentally bored,  I had tons of stuff to keep me busy, (laundry, cooking, you know the typical house hold chores) but I felt like I needed something else to keep my mind active.

One day last May my son handed me this piece of paper that somehow made it into our house and it had a website on it and said "moms helping moms work from home".  I wasn't looking to work from home but it caught my attention anyway and decided to check out the website for curiosity purposes.  The website got my attention even more and figured what would it hurt to get some more info so I did and this girl Lisa, who is now a great friend of mine, gave me a call and filled me in on told me what she was up to.  She said she was a stay at home mom and wanted to do something that kept her busy and figured why  not make money doing it at the same time.

Well to make a long story short, if I can now, I decided to join Lisa with what she is doing.  It keeps me busy when I want to be busy.  I think the best part of the whole thing, is I'm never trying to figure out what to do with myself.  I'm having a ton of fun and making some money doing it too.

If you are intersted, check out my website  www.4ThisFamily.com  see if it catches your attention.  If so, put in your info and I'll call you and tell you more about what I'm doing.  If not then at least you I gave you something to do for 10 minutes! lol

I have 3 girls who are all teens now, one in college....so two are at home...I have always stayed at home with them...

I do not have a problem finding something to do around here...I might not want to do it but there is plenty!...ha...laundry and housework I don't find fun.

I make my girls get a job as soon as they turn 16...they are glad to get the money...since we have always been single income money has never been abundant enough to give lots of allowances.  I would suggest telling your boys to "get a job"...that it's not "your job" to supply them with allowance.  There are good life lessons here I believe. :  )  I'm sure my girls would love it as teenagers if I would go get a paying job and provide them with extras and also not be home as much to keep an eye on them.....

I tell mine my job is to love, feed and clothe them in a way that is in keeping with our budget...anything else they want to do is up to them.

Good luck with this!....I pretty much do what you are listing otherwise...dogs, workout, clean, laundry, etc...find a group outside the home of some kind..take a class...I go to a bible study...

You are working at home...you just don't get paid.
