Kids who don't sleep.

Anyone else with kids who need little to no sleep? What do you do when they don't nap, go to bed late and STILL wake up very early in the morning??

We have 4 children ages 15,13,11,and 9 years old. I find that during holidays, such as Christma, March break or Summer holidays I usually get my children to rest for an hour, about 2-4 times a week my youngest 2 will sleep for up to 2 hours depending on what we are doing. I don't let that change bedtimes even though I know they don't fall asleep as quickly lights are out.

I dont know, but I do feel your pain I have 3 kids that never want to rest, it gets so tiring!! my husband always says he misses me, because we dont get 5 minutes of peace! they are up early and never nap and then want to stay up all night, and I try to tire them out but nothing works. it sux, but we always try to remember that they will grow up fast and be moved out and we will probably miss the chaos!!

i give my daughter camomil tea at 6:00 ish it works great.. she used to be a non napper and this works for me

I have a 5yr old and soon to be 6 month old. My daughter did not like napping so we had to have quiet time. I created a strict bedtime routine and she loved it. Never had a problem. 10 -11 hrs of sleep. Kids need routines and consistency. My son is following in her footsteps. We are having to do the same with bedtime. Its been a struggle but he is catching on. Hope this helps. You need time to yourself or with your spouse without the kids. Hope this helps.

my 4 yr old and 2 yr old are the same way. my 2 yr old goes into her room during the day to take a nap, but she doesn't. we put them to bed at the sametime every night and they are still up every morning around 7 or 730. I'd love any advise too!

A very consistent bedtime routing works wonders. A bath and book then glass of water does the trick for our 2 young children. Really watch your little one for tiredness clues, I have found that if you miss this window they can party all night! Good Luck
