Most definately the nipple stimulation and a jacuzzi bath with the jets aimed in the right areas...while in labor they had me go in one and I went from 2cm to 10cm in only a couple hours!

I agree with the walking, but super fast. (I did a light jog for 2 days before I went into labour), & sex. I also did some pelvic exercises on a ball, ate eggplant Parmesan, & Indian food.

The gel that they use to induce you and put on your cervix is pretty much artificial sperm...try having lots of sex...it worked for me...it might not have the same affect on you though...GOOD LUCK!

With my oldest, they induced me as I was completing 38 weeks because of pre Eclamsia...and they did it with Pitocin :( With my youngest, the plug came out a week before my water broke. Walking was the only way for me to speed things up. I read that stimulating your nipples helps to release oxytocin, though.

We've tried all of that almost daily for the past 2 weeks, minus the Castor oil. And i've just have stayed 3cm, no changes. I have one stubborn cervix. i'm fully effaced, and baby is fully dropped as well, and has been for 2 weeks.

I am not sure if the same thing will work for you but.... spend a afternoon alone with your partner, lots of sex and nipple stimulation worked for me!! Sperm is proven to soften your cervix and nipple stimulation produces oxytocin which is what your body naturally produces to given you contractions. If you breast feed after your baby is born you will feel your uterus contracting whilst doing this. It is the oxytocin do it's job!! I was told by my OB/GYN that castor oil will just give you the runs and wind pain. Good luck though!!

castor oil is a proven way but usually not advised, walking, spicy food, sex, going for a drive in a bumpy car ride. the midwifes done a stretch ans sweep to me and i went into labour 2 days later.
good luck xox
