My son was lactose and soy intolerant. W his dr advice when he was a yr I put 1/2 an oz of whole milk in his special formula and kept doin that for a whole month then I added another 1/2 the next mo and so on every mo adding another 1/2 oz as long as he tolerated it and w in 6 mo he was on whole milk. and he now has no allergy to either at all! Of course check w ur pediatrician first before messing w an allergy it could b dangerous. Hopefully this helps.

My 4 month old daughter is also lactose intolerant her pediatrician is going to try her on whole milk when she's a year. Sometimes when a baby is lactose intolerant it goes away by the time there a year. How old was your baby when you found out he was lactose intolerant?

If he is lactose intolerant then he won't be able to handle milk, it will cause him tummy troubles. You can try soy milk, rice milk or if he is ok with nuts Almond milk. Most babies are lactose intolerant until they are about a year old so milk might work in a couple months. You can always try and see just be prepared for an upset stomach if he can't handle it. :)
