I'm a stay at home mom of a two year old and a 7 month old. I'm with my children almost all the time. I work one day a week, so that's really the only time I get from them. Every now and then I leave one or both kids with my mom over night. As long as my toddler is ok with it. My in laws make me feel like I'm a horrible mother for doing it. Any advice?

Take the help if you can get it. Especially if it's with someone you trust. You are lucky you have that. I have two kids, 6 and 8 years old. Moved to Canada seven years ago and have no family support here whatsoever. Also have a non participating partner - so I'm basically a single mother (only difference is I don't have to work in an office). I have one friend who takes my kids (our kids are all friends) for sleepovers so I can get a break every now and then, and he recently during the school break took my 8 year old - the much more difficult child, for a whole week to give me some time away from her. It is not something to be ashamed about at all. 'Regular jobs' have a five day work week. The weekend is put into affect so people don't burn out. Stay at home moms don't have that weekend to recharge before starting again. Take the damn help when and if you can :)
