Okay so I'm 19 and my baby girl is only a month old. My husband is in the army so a week before she was born, we had to pack up and move from South Carolina to New York. I'm a stay at home young mom and I desperately need to meet people and make at least one friend. But how do I do that with my daughter so young?

Your Husbands unit or base should have get together"s for the wives/families. Most women I know that go to them are used to young ones joining them. They can become an extended family if you let them. I know that being such a new mom everything seems hard to do but really you are in a better situation then if you and hubby had moved state and neither of you were in a military. You can try meetup.com for groups with kiddos around the same age sometimes there is a charge for the group sometimes not. Good luck!

I have met many parents and friends for my son by going to our library and signing up for classes at our park district. The library in my area does a baby story hour every other Friday for babies 0-18 months. It's free and we get out of the house and make friends. my park district starts baby programs after 6 months but it has been worth it. The classes are inexpensive, my son loves them, and we get to meet other people. Some of the people we have met are still taking the same classes as us over a year later.

If you don't know anyone go to ur local coffee shop, Walmart, etc and make new friends. Don't be scared...and another thing when she gets old enough put her in day care. Get a job and then you'll meet all kinda of ppl and meet new friends at ur job.

I understand you. I have two kids, one 4 and the other 4 months SMh....I find my self Lonely all the time. At least you have a husband, I'm single. It's hard but what you need to do is get with a few close friends bring ur baby with u and just have social time. Sit and talk you know have a few laughs and between your friends or friend can get the baby for a few moments or a hour just to give you a break....hope this helps :)
