My daughter is 6 months old and the doctor told me to start looking around for a new car seat. She's 30 inches long, and weighs 20lbs. I've been on websites where people comment on the car seats, but it seems like all of them are good. If you know of any good car seat that you have tested out please let me know!! Thanks

I am also on the same boat. I will be shopping for a new car seat for my daughter in the next few months, and I have been looking at one of the Britax (but I forget which one) and the sunchine kids Radian65 or Radian80.... anyone know about those?

We bought the Britax Roundabout for my daughter. It's a bit pricey, but so far it has been worth every penny. My daughter seems very comfortable and can easily fall asleep in this car seat. It is both rear and forward facing up to 40 lbs, so she can stay rear facing until her first birthday.

We have an Evenflo Triumph Advanced DLX that is good from 5 to 60 lbs. It is front and rear facing. I love it so much that we just got the same one for my son. Babies R Us was VERY helpful and could answer all questions we had. They were knowledgeable and didn't try to sell us the most expensive one they had.

I am going through the same thing with my son who is 8 months. He about out grow his infant seat. After doing a lot of research and asking advice. I came to find out The Safety First True fit to be one of the best. It will last you the longest as well. Not to mention you can keep you daughter rear facing longer if you choose.

We have the Safety 1st 3-in-1 convertible car seat - goes from rear facing (which is still the best option for your daughter, even at her height/weight, because of her age and lack of neck control/muscles), to forward facing to booster seat. It's been working great for us and we haven't had a problem with it. Our infant seat is also a Safety 1st (primarily because it came with the stroller we got) and we've never had a problem with it either - since it is less than 2 years old we will probably be using the same infant seat with our new baby (due September) as we did for our daughter, and our daughter will just grow with the convertible seat.

Other car seats that I've read good reviews of, and considered when we made our purchases, are EvenFlo and Graco, although these two have a tendency to be quite pricey.
