I have lost alot of my friends and I dont go out much to make new ones so I was wondering what would be a good way to meet new ones?

I find that it is easiest to relate to others that have similar aged kids that I have. Depending on how old your kids are, it could be a variety of places to find friends. With younger children, you can meet friends at playgroups, mommy and me classes or even the library. When your kids are in school, try to meet some other moms of your kids classmates. If they are in sports or other activities, you can meet people there as well. Make sure you meet your neighbors too. Attending a church can provide many different friends. MOPS is also another place I have heard that is great for moms of preschoolers.

im starting to finally make friends with other moms now that my daughter's in kindergarten...but i really dont have many friends who have kids, im a young mom with 2 kids at home and my friends are in college and want to go out and dont understand that i can't. its hard to deal with but im starting to meet other moms slowly but surely as my daughter makes friends i talk to their mothers. parks, libraries, playdates..all good places to make friends !

I'm also in the same boat. Moving to a new area didn't really help either. I met one girl to hang out with, you also had a child, but she stopped returning my phone calls. I would say that going to a library storytime (which I plan on doing this month for the first time), and going to the park are great ways to meet other mom's.

Good luck - I need it too!!! :)

I know it's hard. I've met a few friends by taking my son to the park :) For me it seems to be easier to make friends with people who understand what I am going through.
