Okay so here's my story: I'm a housewife with a 21 month old boy. I need to lose at least 20 lbs for a reunion and wedding in about 3 months. I go for a 30mins to 1 hour walk with my son everyday (when it's not raining). Then we go to the playground for his playtime, where i actually go run after him wherever he goes. At home I do chores, but cleaning is not an everyday thing. I eat 1300-1500 calories a day using superfoods, no sweets and junkfood. I do resistance training using elastic bands 2-3 times a week.I have lost about 6 pounds and almost 2 inches at the waist in a month. I can't go to the gym because hubby and I agreed not to let other people babysit unless they're family. We have no relative where we live because hubby is with the military and we're overseas right now.

So, does any stay at home mom here have any suggestions for a faster weight/fat loss for a mom who is not too active? I'm open to anything, be it natural weight loss diets or using supplements to help. I have no pre existing condition whatsoever...i'm just really voluptuous! haha

Im not really sure what ediets is, weight watchers gives u a points plan depending on your weight. You are allowed a certain amount of points a day and you can eat whatever you want staying in that points range. You calculate how many points something is by the Dietary Fiber, Calories, and Fat.

I play a game with my almost 2 year old son where I put him in his room, then I run out into another room and hide behind something, and he comes running out and he says 'mommy? mommy?" and he looks for me, then I jump out from wherever I'm hiding, then chase him back into his room, then do it all over again. it's one of his favorite games to play with mommy, and trust me, it will definitely help you loose some weight! or, if you have a bunch of free time, and want to loose a BUNCH of weight, try doing EVERYTHING your son does for a couple of hours. Exhausting! Good luck!

I tried just simple things to lose weight, and it worked surprisingly well - instead of sitting on a chair, I use an exercise ball, and go up and down on my tiptoes while doing dishes or getting ready for the day...stay moving as much as possible, and use your baby as a weight for stretches and such, just keep moving! Good luck :)

I cant go to the gym either so what I do is I go onto youtube.com and look up 'Zumba workouts' and i put it onto full screen and I just do a gym class right in my lounge when my daughter is sleeping :)

You can also buy the Zumba dvds that you can do at home. Zumba is a really great way to losing weight and everyone I know that does it has lost lots of weight. My mum lost 20kgs from it!!

I used Isowhey. Lost 6 kgs in 6 weeks. Don't forget you have to eat to keep your metabolism going so don't cut out too much eating. Go by dress size not scales. I had to lose this to fit into a bridesmaid dress that was already bought so I had no choice but to lose the weight!

@Andrea: good idea! thanks! this reminds me of an article i read somewhere that a person who spends their free time standing up and doing stuff lost more weight than those sitting down and doing stuff.

@Trinity: thanks! wow that's a lotta weight! i did ediets before i got pregnant and it worked. is weight watchers something like ediets with meal recipes and stuff? i do wanna know how it works!

@Elyssa: we do that too! isn't it fun?! there's this one time when my son couldn't figure out where my voice was coming from, so he decided to hide too! we ended up not looking for each other! haha..i'll try doing everything he does one of these days and see if i can handle it! they're super hyper! Thanks!

hi, I am also trying to lose weight. I LOVE weight watchers. I was in it a few years ago and lose 76LBs in about a yr. Now i am doing it on my own because i know the plan so well. If u need any info on it, feel free to ask me. It works great for me when i stick to it. I have been doing it again now for 2 weeks and have already lost 10LBs. GOOD LUCK! :)
