Mommy and Me

[deleted account] ( 4 moms have responded )

Can anyone give me a good website to find Mommy and Me classes in my area? Or all areas really. I've been looking online and I can't seem to find any. I don't know if there just isn't any in my area or if I'm just not looking in the right place. I have looked at the local library website and they don't have anything within the next few weeks. But I will keep looking there as well. I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!

You can look up your city's recreation dept online and see if there are kid classes or groups or parenting your child classes. Our adult ed dept is where I met my best friend and her son 12 years ago and our sons, who met when they were newborns are still best friends.

Hmmm.. yeah I like meetup . com it worked for me too. you can always start your own group on there but the fees are quite high - i was surprised when i went to make my own group and got shocked! lol
you could always post signs and try to start your own though. even advertise through craigslist . com? I'd suggest contacting the library and asking if any groups meet up there (sometimes they do book readings) and even contact the local hospital to see if they have anything. Also, I know this is a streatch but there is a sort of house to house trading consignment store up at our local small town where they give their used stuff too, and have connections with pregnant and expecting women to women with kids in order to do exchanges and give everyone things they need cheaper. You could contact them to start a group or see if they have one, as they will put you on a list and give you a hand made quilt from a group of women who make them for women expecting children on the list. I thought it was wonderful and kind, they just give 1 to you for free.

There are typically swimming Mommy and me classes at your local pool. Is there a YMCA in your area? A local MOPS group would be a good resource as well.
