Hello everyone,

My name is April, I am new to the group and I also moved to Rhode Island about a year ago with my boyfriend and my son. My son will be two in June but since I am a stay at home mom, while doing online college, I have had trouble making friends here. Since moving I have not made any friends for myself or my son, and since moving a lot of my friends back home lost touch with me. I feel lonely and tried going to parks and other areas but found no one I clicked with. I feel very lonely and cut off from the world. I would love to have a couple of mom friends so I can talk and socialize with who won't mind a toddler tagging along.

Thank you Tina I will try those out, I'm hoping to start at least part time and can make friends at work and my son at daycare.

And thank you Jessica

Hang in there Mama! I had the same issue. Keep up with local parks. Check to see if your town/county has events for younger children. I didn't start making new mom friends until my girl started school at 4. It can feel incredibly isolating. In the meantime, try to find some new friends around sites like this. There are some great online communities!
