Hey there SAHM's! I am sure you are like me and don't get out much. I am starting this blog to help each other keeping up to date with Movies. My husband and I do not live around family and we keep a very small (one) circle of friends around, so babysitting (free babysitting) isn't accessable. However, my brother bought us a movie card and has for the past 4 years for Christmas with a $100 limit on it. My husband and I take turns taking the kiddos, mostly Alex to the movies. It is a wonderful girft and we look forward to it every year.

Okay, let me get to the point because I am starting to ramble as usual. Please tell us what your last movie was and what you thought of it. It doesn't have to be a kids movie (although it helps), it can be anything. Also, it doesn't have to be a theater movie...we have a ton of date nights when the kids go to sleep in the room. wink! wink!

Cheers

My favorite at the moment is Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. It's odd and can be hard to find, but it's good with a twist at the end. It's also 45 minutes long! Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day, and Nathan Fillion star in it.

I just had to giggle a bit at your last post Casey. You said "I defiantly reccommend this movie", but is should be spelled "definitely" not "defiantly". At first I thought, "wow! she sure feels strongly about watching that movie against someones wishes!".

But I do agree, Avatar is a GREAT movie! I think your idea for a movie blog is wonderful. Hubby and I love to see movies, but money is very tight, so we don't go often, and when we do we want to see something that's REALLY good!

I didn't take my son (just turned 6) to the movies because I wasn't sure how he would sit through it. He does pretty good, but I didn't want to take my chances. I actually planned renting it this weekend and doing a late night with him. We call them camp outs, but the pill got a number in class today. Maybe next weekend. I figure I am safe renting, he can always fall asleep. ha! As far as UP, I heard it was good, different but good. I also heard it would make me cry, so I haven't seen it. Of course, everything makes me cry. ha! Thanks for sharing.

Keep the reviews coming!!!

Cheers.

I want to watch Avatar! I haven't got anyone to babysit around me so I haven't been to the movies since before my 8 month old was born. BUT I do live in Hong Kong now and they are famous for getting movies out early! I think 'The Box' with Cameron Diaz was just confusing. Hated it. But the kids movie 'UP' was awesome! A little more serious than most kids movies. :)

My latest movie was How To Train Your Dragon and if you haven't seen it yet, I highly reccommend it. I love color, so all the colorful in the dragons caught my eye. It was humorous for both children and adults. I loved how the writers kept with the whole viking thing and gave them accents. Who doesn't love a scottish accent even if it is from a burly viking man? ha! I love the look of Night Fury when he is in his attack mood, but when he isn't, he kind of looks like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch and that is kind of a downer. Other than that, way worth paying to see and a great movie for the family.
