My daughter is 10 months old and is only drinking a few ounces of formula every couple hours. I mean like 1 - 2 ounces every 4 hrs. Yes she drinks water but not much. She eats table food and baby food extremely well. I'm just wondering what your opinions are on tring to give her homo milk at this age. And to see if anyone has any suggestions.

try regular 2%milk sweetened with a little coffe creamer (vanilla)- my son loves it! don't give it too often but if you are concerned about fluid intake it's a great trick.

Give it to her in a sippy? And really, a few ounces every couple of hours adds up. How much is she getting totaly? She may be just fine. Also, her foods may have plenty of fluids in them too.

What is homo milk? If that's whole cows milk, I would still hold off. As for the teething, just keep giving her firm-ish foods, warmed or chilled, and the same with drinks. Avent makes a good sippy for teethers. It's the green spout that you want.

She will drink when she gets thirsty.

I've found that eating habits flucuate when babies are teething. Are you giving her the milk cold or warm? Try and switch. I used to give my daughter warm milk, then when she started teething she wanted cold milk and food to soothe her gums. My daughter is seven months and she only drinks 4 ounces at a time and sometimes doesn't drink it all. She also can put away a whole stage 2 or 3 container of food. If she is gaining weight fine and the doctor says she checks out she may be fine. You can also try to give her pedialyte if your concerned. My daughter used to constantly throw up her milk when she was 3 mos old and her doctor told us to give her pedialyte.

She does have a bit of a cold but she is also teething. She will drink alittle bit at a time but not much unless i hold her and literally force the bottle in her mouth. Then she will take it. Today for example she was up at 7:30am had a bottle at 8:30am only drank 51/2 ounces, At 12pm she had her usual lunch baby food which she loves and ate alot, so i waited and gave her a bottle at 1:30 and she refuses to take it. I did give her a cup of water and she is still learning to suck on it so she didn't drink much. She is not cranky at all and is extremly happy. Naps are great, and eats ALOT of table food. Not really sure how much longer i will let this go on but my sister works in daycare and says its normal for at this age. I have 2 other children 13 and 4 and don't remember them going thro this.

My son does that sometimes when he is teething. If that's the case she should be back to normal in a few days. If not, is it drastically different from her normal patterns? Does she seem sick in any other ways??
