I started my son walking by putting his feet on mine (facing him the same way I was) and I would hold his hands and walk him around showing him things. Then I started to set things on the coffee table and other low areas that were his, like his cars or stuffed animals. It gave him a reason to want to walk and stand. It seemed to work pretty well.

My daughter didn't walk until 15 months. She started "army" crawling at 9 months. She didn't crawl on her hands and knees until a year. She was just taking it slow. We would walk holding her hands and gently let go. She would usually just fall to the ground and start crawling. But one day she didn't realize I had let go and took a few steps. A week later she was a champion walker.

try taking her by the hands and walking with her thats wat we did it helps strenth their legs for walking and dont put shoes on them to me it makes it hard to walk

my daughter started walking one month before her 1st birthday she did it all on her on she was playing with a newspaper and just started walking and hasnt stopped yet

When my daughter started walking we would hold her hands and give her the feel of it many times a day. And when she started getting more comfortable with it and tried to walk by herself we would hold something she liked and coax her to walk to us to get. When she would fall down we would pick her back up and tell her to try again. Doing this she was walking by herself very well before she was a year.

Have you talked to your doctor?? I would start there. While some kids do walk late, crawling at 13 months seems really late to me. Does she have any of the walking toys? The stand or ride on type? Is she really verbal? Some kids will focus so hard on one thing, like talking, that they fall behind in other areas. Good luck!

A lot of encouragement is what I would vote for. Our daughter started walking on her own just after her first birthday, and I think she would have walked by herself earlier if she had been confident enough. It wasn't until we started encouraging her to take steps by herself and really praised her when she did that she started to develop enough confidence to take those first steps unassisted :)
