Good morning at this point I am desperate for suggestion, any advice would be appreciated. My 22 month old only sleeps 5 hours a night with an hour nap during the day. I have no idea what happened to my sleeping baby but my husband and I are going crazy. She screams her head off when we put her down to bed, sometimes for 2 hours. We have a routine at night, Dora, bath, milk, books and bed . She is clearly exhausted, but refuses to sleep in her crib. And she has never slept in our bed. This is new for us

If what you are currently doing isn't working than try something else. Make sure when you do try something new you are consistent with it for a couple of weeks to give it time to work. I found a really good resource is Jo Frost the Uk nanny. I use a lot of her routines and tricks and found them to be quite effect. Every child is different and it is not a one size fits all. Just remember you are great parents, take a deep breathe and you will get there.

Hi.
I understand completely. My son wasn't the best sleeper.
Part of it is diet. What is she eating? And how close to bedtime?
Sugar is a huge thing and it's in more places than you want to know.
Milk could be a possible culprit. What about changing the milk out for water?
She could be intolerant or allergic to milk and it's bothering her stomach and it's hurting her and she can't tell you.
This may cause her to be scared because she doesn't know what is happening.
So, then she feels she needs comfort from you.

She's clearly telling you something. Just because baby slept well, if she did, in the beginning, doesn't mean it's always going to be that way.
They grow and go through different stages.
Have you soft music? Lavender helps too.

Good luck.
