My 3years old son is always on the go, he's just so active. what can i do to get him settle and take a time out at times?

This sounds just like my boy! One day I said to him, "Can you just hold still for ten seconds?" His response was, "Why would I want to do that, mom?" LOL!

Sign him up for soccer. Most soccer leagues have you pay in the fall but lasts two seasons! Right now I've got my boy in track and field and the fun thing is he wins races!

You'll need to find some hands on activities he's interested in to get him to hold still for awhile. Play doh at the kitchen table, chalk out on the side walk, or a TV show he loves that you can plan to use for quiet time. Another option is to enroll him in preschool. They will do activities with him in 10-15 minute increments so he can learn to settle down and focus but not for too long.

Heh, I don't know - at 3 my daughter would spend the entire day riding up and down the driveway on her trike until her leg muscles were stunning. There was no stopping her, but the phase passes if you let them work it off thoroughly.

Mine is like this too. Even reading a bedtime story seems to excite him. Try to keep loud noise to a minimum and tv off if you're not watching something etc.

Try to do quiet time in 10 minute increments every couple of hours or do carpet time and give him a book or do something that keeps his attention in a serene settiing if you can.
