Go to a quiet place and cuddle him, let him snuggle with you until he is calm and then put him back to bed. He could be going through separation anxiety or teething and just needs some Mummy Snuggles.

I loathe CIO and refuse to use it. My 10 month old sleeps through unless she's teething, can sometime settle her self, other times needs a snuggle and then calmly goes back into her cot. I personally believe this is because I have tended to her every time she cried/s rather then using CIO or CC. They just need to know we're there sometimes that's all.

From all I see on here and googling, this is the age for Separation anxiety *shrugs* what can you do but be thee for them even though your quietly dying from lack of sleep?!

Rayne just went down too, normally she's about 7:30/8 depending on when she's woken from her nap but she had 2 naps today the second was nearly 3 hours and she didn't wake until 5:30!! I think she was knackered from yesterday, we Saw the Wiggles and she had a not so restful sleep last night.

Could he have a little colic maybe, have you tried ( I know this kind of defeats the purpose of trying to get him back to sleep in the middle of the night), bicycle legs to get his wind moving? Even massaging his tummy in the direction of the flow of the bowels might help better than trying to burp him.

Yeah it just had a little rain then, it's been raining off and on all day. Strangest weather lately! I do yes, same name and profile pic as here.

That's good that u got sleep yay...
He may won't a bottle or just a scream haha I think he still thinks he's a newborn lol. Very clingy as well, I've tryed everything I think. I'll just keep trying I guess. He had a nap at 4.30 today for almost 40 mins and only just going to bed now, he's normally in bed at 8 so hope this does something :)

Also he grabs his belly sometimes at night, try to burp him but it doesn't work, he won't lete or it won't come up :(

Very close wow, how is lovely Adelaide? Ranging?
Have Facebook?

SA? Which SA, an American state or are you in South Australia? I ask because I'm in South Australia.

Oh Boo! I can't remember If you said or if anybody asked, but is he hungry or thirsty when he wakes? On the odd occasion Rayne still wakes for a feed in the middle of the night.

Yeah she slept through, but needed a dummy replug at some point, and woke way early at 6:30am which is unusual for her but again, does happen. These teeth are being stubborn, they just don't want to join us! I'm lucky she is such a good sleeper for the most part, I'm 4.3 weeks pregnant...

Well I'm all out of ideas! What kind of screaming is it? Is he in pain or just wants to sleep with you? You sound like your doing a great job despite your sleep depravation. Oh one more idea, what does he sleep in? Does he have blankets or a grow bag?

It's ten past two in the arvo here

Don't we all, I'm rooted atm (my fault I went to bed late, plus our daughter is still in our room, in her own cot, but in our room and had a couple of cry fests last night. She has the top 4 teeth right there, so so close, any closer and they'd be out!), I'm praying she sleeps through tonight!

I hope your little man finds enough comfort with his teddy and you get some sleep!

What about snuggling with a teddy? He sounds like he needs company in his cot, that might work if you don't want to co sleep, sounds like he does though :)

Thanks guys, i tried calming him and putting him back in his cot, played soothing music, had a lamp on, tryed bonjela, cuddles. He went to bed at 8.30pm was up at 12.30pm tryed all of the above and stayed awake till 2.30am slept till 3.30am in his cot then woke up at 4am screaming so I just put him in my bed and he woke at 8am coz his sister woke him.

I suggest to just keep putting him back in his own bed and settling him. Don't talk to him, just pick him up and put him to bed. You may have to stay with him for a bit but it will gradually get less.

I've tried controlled crying he just starts to scream the house down. I get him up b4 he does this so he doesn't wake his sister.
