My 15b month old still is not walking and when she does her legs are really wobbly, it's like she has no desire to even try to walk. Anyone have any suggestions for me??

Another exercise that you can do if she is willing is to have her lay on her back and push off of you with her legs. You can also do some leg massages, after bath is perfect since you could just incorporate it into your lotioning her. 15 mths is withing the normal realm but if you are concerned you can always talk to your ped about it and they might have some other suggestions for muscle strengthening.

I had this problem with my daughter, who will turn 2 next month. She started physical therapy at 18 months-and now she's running. Ask your pediatrician if they know some exercises that she can do to build up her muscle. I know these are a few things that helped my daughter:
--holding her hands above her head and lifting one side at a time to get her used to the feeling of walking... once she has that down, put her arms closer to her body and make her walk. Then just hold onto her shirt (or have her hold onto yours) and have her walk on her own. Little by little, let her go on her own. It will take a couple of weeks to get her to do it, but she will.
--Have her practice climbing up and down on the couch. That will help build up her muscles
--Make her jump (if she doesn't know how, teach her using the couch. Hold her hands and lift her up and say "Jump!" then put her feet back on the couch). This will help her muscles, too.

Hope this helps a little! :)

Yeah she is crawling and pulling herself up too. She is my fifth and with the other two and her dad to carry her around I guess I would be a little lazy too. She is also my last baby too, so I guess I am not in a hurry either. Also she isnt in daycare or anything so starting tommorrow I want to take her to the parks and walks too, she weighs 17 lbs 5 oz she is a picky eater any ideas?

I have studied child dvelopment and the normal walking age in between 9 months and 17 months, so dont worry just yet. Its harder when everyone else child is already walking. The fact she has wobbley leds indicates that she doesnt have the muscle yet to walk. Is she craweling? Its important they follow the stages of crawling, pulling themselves up and than walking. If your concern, go see a health nurse or doctor

My daughter was 15 months before she started walking. It's withing "normal" range. She'll do it on her own time. I wouldn't worry until 18 months.
