Your daughter and my son are about the same age, so this would be my suggestion for an active child. After dinner, play with your daughter for a good 30 to 45 minutes. If the weather is good playout side, make sure she stays active the whole time. Afterward, give her a nice warm bath, and use lavender scented products, shampoo, oil, soap, lotion, etc. Then read to her and rock her for about 15 minutes, make sure it is in a room with low lighting and no distractions, such as a televison or other people. Set up a CD player in her room- have it play soft lullabies or classical music. Also make sure that the tempature in her room is condusive to sleep. My daughter likes it cold when she sleeps and my son likes to be bundled up with his blankets. Try putting a humidifier in her room or a fan, the sound can be very soothing to a child. And if your daughter wakes up, let her cry herself to sleep. This can be the hardest part, but it will teach her to comfort herself and she will slowly stop waking up so much at night. And since your daughter is about a year and a half, don't give her anything to eat or drink an hour before bedtime. Foods and drinks can turn into natural sugar and caffine, which can keep children from settling down at night. Just be consistent, and give the bedtime routine about a week or two to work. Don't give up!

Well I put my little one in the bath and let her soak in the hot water. Then I give her a bottle and sit and hold her close to me and rock her till she falls back to sleep. Then I give her her favorite teddy bear when I lay her down wait.

how old is this little one?. you should try a nice long warm bath, a nice long feed, then maybe a story or a nice lullaby, try and not make things as a game as she might think 'oh its playtime'

or even get a cd player with some nice slow lullaby's, i dont know what its like to have a non sleeper. my son is 1 and sleeps 9-12 hours..

good luck :D
